The Faraway Treehouse
The Faraway tree house is a small off-grid home, a 9m x 9m box with loft level, and a pitched roof with the ridge on the diagonal. This elegant design solution enables a spacious double-height living/kitchen/dining area at one end, and a second-storey loft to take advantage of views at the other side. The house is situated adjacent to an ancient Yellow Box Eucalyptus tree, which has become the inspiration and feature of this off-grid strawbale home.
